The Inauguration of the First Conference of GLOBAL PUBLIC SECURITY COOPERATION FORUM (LIANYUNGANG)

The First Conference of GLOBAL PUBLIC SECURITY COOPERATION FORUM (LIANYUNGANG) opened in Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province on November 29, 2022. H.E. Wang Xiaohong, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Public Security of China, attended the event via video link and delivered a keynote speech.

H.E. Wang Xiaohong elaborated on the significance of the 20th CPC National Congress. He expressed that China will work with all parties to actively implement the Global Security Initiative (GSI) proposed by President Xi Jinping, behold the people centric value proposition and put people first, hold high the banner of “cooperation, innovation, rule of law, and win-win outcomes”, adhere to the vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, act on a global governance concept of joint consultation, shared responsibilities and shared benefits, aim to achieve high-quality development through high-standard security, with a view to building a global public security collaborative mechanism of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and jointly promoting the development of a community with a shared future for mankind that enjoys universal security and common prosperity.

Speeches were also delivered by H.E. Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Vice President of Cambodian People’s Party, then Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; H.E. Vilay Lakhamphong, Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Laos; H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, President of Vietnam, then Member of the Politburo of the CPV Central Committee and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam; Dr. Pintér Sándor, Minister of Interior of Hungary; H.E. General Alaa Abdelmoaty, Assistant Minister for Security of Egypt; and Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, President of INTERPOL. Representatives from 40 countries, regions, and international organizations attended the First GPSCFL Conference in hybrid format.
