The 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) (GPSCFL) was opened in Lianyungang city of Jiangsu province on September 9. H.E. Wang Xiaohong, State Councilor and Minister of Public Security of China, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech.
Wang said China has actively implemented the Global Security Initiative and held high the banner of Cooperation, Innovation, the Rule of Law, and Win-win Outcomes over the past year, and is committed to building a global community of common public security, facilitating the convergence of security concepts and interests, promoting notable progress in the development of the GPSCFL, and advancing global public security cooperation.
Wang added that China will work with countries around the world to practice common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security concepts in the face of changes of historical significance across the world during our times. We will value mutual respect, take comprehensive measures, make years of dedicated efforts, deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of public security, and constantly build a community with shared responsibilities, a community with shared interests, and a community with a shared future, with a view to driving the global public security governance system towards greater fairness, rationality, and efficiency. China will take practical actions to contribute its wisdom and strength to deepening global public security governance.
Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, President of INTERPOL addressed the audience. H.E. Ahmad Zahid, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, H.E. Ivica Dačić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Serbia, and many other distinguished participating guests delivered their speeches. The 2024 GPSCFL Conference was themed "Win-Win Cooperation Under Significant Changes: Building a Global Community of Common Public Security."
