On September 10, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Security Sub-forum of the 2024 Conferenc of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) was held in in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. Around 100 Industry experts and entrepreneurs from 19 countries and regions around the world participated in the forum. The sub-forum was hosted by China Association for Friendship and organized by China Security Protection Products Industry Association. Representatives from China Association for Friendship, the China Security Protection Products Industry Association, and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan gave opening remarks.

With the theme “New Challenges, New Opportunities, New Missions”, the sub-forum conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges over new ideas, new technologies and new strategies, including UAV flight safety, UAV security threats & prevention and illegal UAV control.

In the context of the rapid development of UAV technology, from the perspective of global national security, aviation security and public safety, the sub-forum found that UAV has become a favored criminal carrier and a new criminal tool for terrorism, cross-border crimes and new crimes. Participants have expressed that it is necessary to strengthen the discussion of international cooperation on drone safety, promote the development of drone safety control and rules, build a new ecology for the development of drone safety industry, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a global public security community.
