Introduction to the Forum's Board of Directors

Starting in 2022, the Lianyungang Forum was upgraded to the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang), establishing an international Board of Directors as the forum's leadership and decision-making body. This Board is tasked with consulting and deciding on major issues such as the developmental direction of the forum, the establishment and revision of organizational statutes, planning for significant cooperative projects, positions on international law enforcement security issues, and overall coordination of multi-party activities. The Board comprises heads of law enforcement and security departments from actively participating countries, current or former senior officials with significant influence in the field of law enforcement and security, and experts and scholars who have made notable contributions in this area, totaling approximately 20 members. Each Board member serves a term of 3 years and can be reelected consecutively

 

 

On November 29, 2022, the first Board of Directors Meeting of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) was held in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, with ten Board candidates from countries including China, Argentina and Laos participating online. From April 11 to 12, 2023, the Round-table on Development Strategy and the Board Candidates Meeting of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) were convened in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, attracting 60 participants including 12 board member candidates from ten countries across five continents. On December 15, 2023, the candidates for the members of the board of directors held a virtual meeting in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. On April 11, 2024, the Board Candidates Meeting of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) took place in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province.
